Sultan Agung 3 and Muhammadiyah 2 High School Students Join “APU Tour and Trial Class Experience”
SEMARANG – Agung Putra University (APU) Semarang continues to strengthen its commitment to developing an outstanding generation that is ready to face global challenges with knowledge, integrity, and a strong spirit of collaboration.
As a rapidly growing university in Semarang, APU officially launched its flagship program, “APU Tour and Trial Class Experience,” on Monday (October 5). The program is designed for students from Indonesian Senior High Schools (SMA) and Vocational High Schools (SMK), starting from Semarang and Central Java and extending to other regions across Indonesia.
On the first day of the “APU Tour and Trial Class Experience,” Grade 12 students from SMA Sultan Agung 3 and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 became the first students to experience university life and attend a trial class at the APU campus.
The program is designed to give students a real introduction to university life and help them make the right decision when choosing a study program. Through this activity, participants are invited to explore campus facilities and experience the academic atmosphere at APU firsthand.
In addition to the campus tour, participants also had the opportunity to join an interactive trial class led by APU lecturers. The sessions were presented creatively to give students a better understanding of the university learning environment.
Students could also explore various study programs and consult with APU representatives about their interests and talents.
APU Tour and Trial Class Experience Helps Students Prepare for University
The Chair of the Organizing Committee for APU Tour and Trial Class Experience, M. Chanif M., M.Ikom, M.Sos, explained that the program, held at the APU campus in Gunungpati, Semarang, is expected to provide significant benefits, especially for Grade 12 students.
“This program aims to help Grade 12 students from Senior High Schools and Vocational High Schools become familiar with university life at an early stage. APU is here to support students who may still be uncertain about choosing a study program. We will introduce each study program and help students find options that match their interests and talents,” said Chanif on Monday (October 5).
Meanwhile, President of APU Foundation, Prof. Dr. dr. Agung Putra, M.Si.Med., said that the APU Tour and Trial Class Experience was organized to help students understand the vision and concept behind APU.
According to Prof. Agung, APU was established with a clear vision: to build a civilization based on knowledge and provide opportunities for Indonesia’s best young people to grow together with APU and compete at the global level.
“APU was not established simply because it was a trend. APU was created to help restore Indonesia’s achievements from centuries ago, when the Majapahit and Sriwijaya kingdoms played important roles in the world. We invite Senior High School students to APU because we are serious about developing excellent human resources based on science and technology so they can compete globally,” explained Prof. Agung.
