Agung Putra University, abbreviated as APU, is a private higher education institution administered by Yayasan Agung Putra Ibrahim. It was established under Decision No. 615/B/O/2026 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, dated 12 June 2026.

The university is located at Jl. Nongkosawit Raya, RT 04, RW 01, Nongkosawit, Gunungpati, Semarang 50229, Indonesia. Its tagline, Empowering Science Tech, reflects APU's commitment to empower science and technology through education, research, innovation, and collaboration across academia, business, government, communities, and media.

Agung Putra University delivers higher education oriented toward quality and universal equality by:

Objectives

  1. Education and Teaching. To deliver globally standardized learning that develops mastery of advanced science and technology, leadership, entrepreneurship, and ethical integrity, while realizing professional, transparent, accountable, and sustainable university governance through collaboration and synergy with national and international stakeholders.
  2. Transformative Research, Innovation, and Industrial Downstreaming. To build a strong applied-research ecosystem capable of producing patented products and scientific articles in reputable international publications, directly connected with industry and directed toward transforming research into practical solutions for the nation.
  3. Techno-Social Entrepreneurship. To connect students with business networks and industrial ecosystems from the beginning of their studies so that they are prepared to compete in the global employment and business landscape, while facilitating academic startups and university business incubators that produce highly valuable commercial innovations with social impact.
