Visiting APU, Public and Private High School Teachers Praise Its Campus Facilities
SEMARANG – Agung Putra University (APU) Semarang held the “APU Tour and Trial Class Experience” program over two days, from October 5–6, 2026. The program was designed to give students a direct experience of campus life while helping Grade 12 students choose a study path that matches their interests and future plans.
On the first day, Monday (October 5), APU welcomed students from SMA Sultan Agung 3 and SMA Muhammadiyah 2. The program continued on Tuesday (October 6), with a group of students from SMAN 13 Semarang visiting the campus.
During the program, students had the opportunity to explore the modern facilities available at the APU campus and experience the academic atmosphere firsthand. In addition to the campus tour, participants joined an interactive trial class with APU lecturers, learned about six available study programs, and had the opportunity to receive guidance on their interests and talents.
High School Teachers Give Positive Feedback on APU Campus
The visit to the APU campus in the Nongkosawit area of Gunungpati, Semarang, received positive feedback from the teachers who accompanied the students. One of them was Isnaeni Tapa Astuti, Principal of SMAN 13 Semarang, who praised the campus environment and the learning facilities available, particularly the laboratories supporting each study program.
“Our impression after coming here is truly extraordinary. We saw a magnificent campus with very complete facilities. The students can directly experience practical activities in the laboratories and classrooms, allowing them to understand what university life is really like. Hopefully, this experience will motivate the students and make APU one of their top choices,” Isnaeni said.
A similar appreciation was expressed by Tarno, a teacher representative from SMA Sultan Agung 3. He said he was impressed by the presence of a university with high-quality facilities and standards in Semarang.
“There are no words that I can say other than ‘WOW’. Semarang now has an extraordinary university. This can be one of the best choices for young people who want to build careers in science and technology,” Tarno said.
APU Connects Education, Research, and Industry
One of the key advantages of Agung Putra University (APU) is its connection with the research ecosystem and business units of SCCR Indonesia, led by President of APU Foundation, Prof. Dr. dr. Agung Putra, M.Si.Med. Through this integration, students have opportunities to become familiar with applied research and industry practices from the beginning of their university studies.
APU also implements an international-standard curriculum that adopts standards from leading universities around the world. The learning process is supported by lecturers who graduated from leading universities worldwide, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (USA), Osaka University (Japan), NARA Institute (Japan), Suranaree University of Technology (Thailand), and the University of Queensland (Australia).
APU currently offers six study programs: Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Management, Communication Science, Law, and Midwifery.
The Biomedical Science program offers a stem cell technology concentration affiliated with SCCR Indonesia. SCCR Indonesia has also obtained Cara Pembuatan Obat Baik (CPOB) certification from the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM). In addition, the program offers a cell and molecular biosystems concentration, which is also connected to the SCCR Indonesia laboratory.
Meanwhile, the Biotechnology program offers concentrations in medical biotechnology, biotechnology informatics, and biotechnology industry.
The Management program offers concentrations in international business management and entrepreneur business management. Meanwhile, the Communication Science program offers digital and new media communication and strategic business communication concentrations.
The Law program at APU provides two concentration options: legal sciences and medical law. The Midwifery program offers innovative woman health and beauty care in midwifery and entrepreneur in midwifery business concentrations.
