A Meaningful Cultural Exchange: APU Students Meet SMA Kesatrian 1 English Club

SEMARANG—International exchange students from Albstadt-Sigmaringen University Germany visited SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang on October 2, 2026, as part of a community outreach activity organized by the International Office of Agung Putra University (APU).

During this visit, the exchange students from Germany visited the English Club, which is led by Mr. Sam as its advisor. The English Club members are students at SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang, ranging from the first to the third grade, with a total of 30 members. 

The students showed great enthusiasm. They really appreciated this opportunity to interact directly with the German students. Many students asked Cara, Melanie, and Frederick about college life, their international study abroad programs, and their local experiences during their time at SCCR Indonesia and Agung Putra University. 

One of the students, Revia from Class 10-1, said, "it was really fun and i got to hear and acknowledge new stuff about Germany that i didnt know of before, i really liked it and I loved practicing my English with a native speaker."

Mr. Sam expressed that the visit by these exchange students from Germany was a precious opportunity for the students to learn and improve their skills and self-confidence in communicating with foreigners.

“We're grateful to see that the students were able to enjoy themselves as well as gain knowledge through this experience,” added Mr. Sam

The exchange students were also happy and grateful for this exchange experience, which allowed them to meet and interact directly with the students. They hope and wish the students success in accomplishing their future dreams.
