From AI to Industry Needs: APU General Lecture Highlights the Importance of Adaptability

SEMARANG - Agung Putra University (APU) and SCCR Indonesia are committed to ensuring that educators, researchers, and students are prepared with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the professional work. APU recently invited Omar Sjawaldy Anwar, President Commissioner of BNI, to deliver a general lecture on the important role of keeping up with the latest technological developments. The lecture was held in the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd floor of SCCR Indonesia on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Omar emphasized the importance of adaptability amid massive and sophisticated technological advancements, including the use of AI. According to him, the market now requires speed and continual innovation. 

“AI can help make our work easier. This is in line with APU’s motto, ‘Empowering Science Tech,’” he said. 

The event was enjoyable and interactive. Mr. Omar also answered questions related to banking, policy management, governance, and financial protection. 

Acknowledging this point raised by Omar Sjawaldy Anwar, Prof. Dr. dr. Agung Putra, M.Si.Med., President of the APU Foundation, added that it is important to prepare the younger generation to enter the professional world, as well as to have lecturers, educators, and researchers train and prepare the younger generation.
